With summer activities, college planning, and busy days at work, I haven't had the most extra time on my hands. As I transition into the new everyday hustle and bustle of working all week long, I find myself being drawn into new ideas and concepts from the city.
From my everyday morning bus commute through Chinatown (who doesn't love the prints that Accidental Chinese hipsters rock?) to the monochromatic, black outfits sported by office workers downtown... I'm constantly inspired by the ways that strangers place together what they're wearing. In less than six hours I have to be at SFO for my flight to Washington DC but have (embarrassingly) failed to start packing whatsoever. Although I did a slight rummaging through my closet and came to the conclusion that I wear primarily white on a daily basis. Maybe this summer will be a good time to add some more color into my wardrobe... Or at least lean towards wearing some of the other clothes I own. Anyway, I'm visiting DC for a few days to attend freshman orientation and have been dreading the East Coast summer humidity. Don't get me wrong, I love DC and all its beauty but woe is humidity.
So here's to packing my flat iron and hoping for the best from my (in desperate need of a haircut) locks.
